Jerusalem the Golden, Lecture 2, Part 1

Second in a series of lectures on Jerusalem. The first lecture is not extant. Discussion of a reunited Jerusalem in halacha (Jewish law) and Jewish philosophy, and discussion of different opinions regarding rebuilding the Temple, the Bet Ha-Mikdash, and reinstituting korbanot (sacrifices = קרבן, קרבנות). Different halachic opinions regarding going to the Temple Mount (Har HaBayit = הר הבית) and a brief history of Jewish access to the Temple Mount. Discussion of holiness (kedushah = קדושה), particularly holiness of place and holiness of time (קדושת הזמן, קדושת המקום).
