A song of Zion on foreign soil: in memory of the founding of the Beth Otsar Ha-Kolonyali ha-Ivri. Shir tsiyon al admat nekhar: le-zekher yisdat bet otsar ha-kolonyali ha-ivri, 659 = 1899. שיר ציון על אדמת נכר. לזכר יסדת בית אוצר הקאלאניאלי העברי, תרנ"ט. (see page 71). This probably refers to the Juedische (Judische) Colonial Bank (Jewish Colonial Trust), the first Zionist bank, incorporated in London on March 20, 1899. It is currently part of Bank Leumi. Page 94 has German Gothic script, possibly musical instructions, and possibly mentions an organ. Pages 95 - 114 are kiddush for various holidays. Pages 124 - 131 are on music paper of "The 'Mark Stern Brand.' Jos. W. Stern & Co., New York, Sole Agents." On bottom of the page - "'The House of Hits'' (Trade Mark) Reg. 1899." Some items from Reverend [Charles (Chaim)] Kupferschmidt are at the beginning of the volume, dated Sept. 7, 1939.
