Aaron Etra Collection. The Collection was originally created by Louis Lewin and consists of rabbinical manuscripts and sermons, letters, yizkor books, communal and accounting records, circumcision records, seals, amulets, and other material, chiefly from Posen and Silesia. Louis Lewin recorded descriptions of the materials in his Collection in a handwritten catalog in German Gothic script. The Collection was purchased by Yeshiva University in 1948 with funds provided by the Etra family, and was named in honor of the late Aaron Etra.
The digital version of this manuscript was produced under the auspices of the National Library of Israel's manuscript digitization program, through a cooperative agreement between Yeshiva University and the NLI.
